What are essential oils?

Essential oils are volatile aromatic mixtures containing biologically active substances extracted from plants by distillation or pressing. Through inhalations, massages and baths, plant aromas are delivered to the human body clean and with their impact alleviate or eliminate a lot of suffering. The use of essential oils is a tradition of knowledge about herbs preserved over the centuries.

How can I use essential oils?

Aroma lamp or diffuser: 3-5 drops of essential oil are added to the aroma lamp filled with water. Inhalation: 2-3 drops of essential oil added to a liter of boiling water, the vapor is inhaled for 5-10 minutes, up to twice a day. Cold inhalation: 1-2 drops of essential oil are dripped on a tissue and inhaled for 5-10 minutes, 2-3 times a day. Gargle and dabble: 1-2 drops of essential oil drip on a spoonful of honey and dissolve in a glass of warm water. Bath: 7-10 drops of essential oil on an emulsifier (soda, salt) are added to the water, the body is immersed for 10 minutes, without the head, neck and upper chest. Massage: 20 drops of essential oil mixed with 55 ml. base oil (almond, wheat germ, apricot kernels, grape seeds, jojoba, macadamia, etc.) Enricher of creams and shampoos: 3-5 drops of essential oil added to 100 ml. There are many different ways to use essential oils.

Can I use essential oils safely?

The use of essential oils requires consultation with a doctor or aromatherapist. They are used to a limited extent in epileptics, hypertensives, children, nursing mothers, pregnant women and people with individual intolerance to certain essential oils! It is necessary to make a tolerance test: the essential oil diluted in base oil is tested by rubbing a few drops on the inside of the elbow joint and wait 5-6 hours for a skin reaction, when taken, by smell, after inhalation wait a few minutes for a reaction from the organism. The essential oils of bergamot, grapefruit, lemon, tangerine, orange, lemongrass are phototoxic and after use the skin should not be exposed to the sun! Essential oils are highly concentrated and should not be overdosed! Store at tº 7-25 º C, tightly closed and out of reach of children!

What are floral waters and what are they used for?

Natural distillation waters have been known and valued since ancient times in skin care and continue to be used in natural cosmetics, perfumery, aromatherapy and cooking. They have anti-inflammatory, soothing effect, hydrate and regulate oiliness, maintain health and protect the skin. Natural waters, also known as hydrosols, are obtained by distillation and contain all the water-soluble substances from the medicinal plants from which they are derived. The greater the amount of essential oil contained in them, the more concentrated the aroma of water and, accordingly, its useful properties. At the same time, the concentration of essential oils is low and makes them safe to use. They can be used by both adults and children and babies.

What is the application of floral waters?

Daily cleansing of the skin: with the help of a cotton swab clean the skin of the face, neck and décolleté. - Hydrating and toning skin and hair: spreads directly on the skin of the face, body and hair. Can be applied for refreshment throughout the day. - Compresses: applied to the affected areas of the skin in case of burns, skin irritations, insect bites. - Bath: added to the water moisturizes the skin and the aroma has an aromatherapeutic effect. - Natural perfume spray: sprayed directly on the skin of the body and perfumed with a natural delicate aroma. - Oral hygiene: drooling for a minute is a good prevention of oral hygiene. - Enrichment of masks and cosmetics.

What are base (glyceride) oils?

Vegetable, glyceride oils are a valuable and indispensable ingredient in modern natural cosmetics. They are obtained by cold pressing the nuts, seeds and fruits of plants, followed by fine purification without heat treatment, which fully preserves their properties. Chemically, they are esters of the trivalent alcohol of glycerol and high molecular weight fatty acids - oleic, palmitic, stearic and others. The content of phytosterols, phospholipids, vitamins A, E, D, F, micro- and macroelements and other biologically active substances determines the wide range of their action.

What is the difference between essential and base (glyceride) oils?

Unlike vegetable oils, essential oils evaporate easily and, in order to last longer, need to be diluted with base oils when applied to the skin. The combination of glyceride and essential oils promotes the good penetration of their active ingredients into the human body.
